Mission/Charter Statement:
The mission of the DCA Workforce Development Committee is to utilize resources, relationships, and membership to execute multiple initiatives that help promote, recruit, and retain the best possible talent for DCA member companies. The Committee focuses on strategies that promote career paths for the distribution contractor industry and also partners with local and national organizations with similarly aligned goals.

2024 Top Achievements:
- Conducted two Leadership Development Programs in Spring and Fall of 2024
- Facilitated a Workforce Development panel discussion at the DCA/AGA annual session
- Engaged with CEWD to determine the capacity for a workforce share pilot program
- Created WFD subcommittee to work with Skills USA to encourage DCA involvement
- Created WFD subcommittee to investigate Technical Schools across the US
2025 Top Goals:
- Offer Leadership Development Programs in April 2025
- WFD Subcommittee for Skills USA Involvement:
- Create a list of Skills USA State level competitions, who, where and when
- Create road map for DCA Member companies on how to get involved with Skills USA
- Invite a Skills USA Spokesperson to present at the DCA Annual Convention
- Provide information to DCA member on the Skills USA National Competition
- WFD Subcommittee for Technical Schools:
- Compile list of Tech Scholls in the US that have Energy Programs
- What do their Energy Programs encompass
- How do they attract High School Students
- Do they take part in Cooperative Work Experience “CWE” programs.
- Promote the use of the DCA’s “Success Looks like This” Video Series
- Continue to engage with the CEWD to determine the capacity for a workforce share program
- Encouraged DCA member companies to participate in local High School Job Fairs

Vision: To identify the needed resources, develop a support structure, and provide leadership that will lead to a sustainable work force for the future.
Mission Statement: To develop, coordinate and implement a strategy that supports the growth of the resources needed through promotion of our industry as a career, using the vast knowledge and leadership the DCA members should offer, and coordination with other industry professionals.
